The Encyclopedia of Horror - I've had this book since I was very young and it's been a constant source of inspiration and information on all things horror and fantasy related. It was first published in 1981 Hamlyn and was again published in 1987. It's a big glossy affair, well written and features a foreword written by the late, great Peter Cushing, who himself features quite heavily in the book. What I love most about it is the crazy photographs and illustrations featured in the book. Half of them are black and white, a few colour and more bizarrely a great deal seem to be coloured by hand with tipex and various stationary stickers. I've included a few here for your enjoyment and amusement.
